Description

My first commission and first composite drawing. Had to put two separate photos with 2 different light conditions and make them look like they are sitting next to each other. The lighting is still not accurate, but I'm just imagining she's under a covered area with backlighting and he's just barely next to the umbrella so he's got different lighting. (Oh well!) No ref on outfits. Phew- quite a challege! I'm only 50% satisfied with it... Could be a bit better, darker, but I'm done messing with it...

Graphite Pencils 4H,2H, H, HB, B, 2B mechanical, 3B, 4B, 6B, some Ebony, some layout pencil, a bit of carbon pencil, a minute amount of charcoal pencil (Can't you tell I'm experimenting here?? :D ) on 11"X14" Bristol Vellum

Edit: 11/10/06 : Just received an email from my client. This email just made my day...

Wow, wow,wow and wow!! I am at such a loss for words Dina. I haven't seen
anything so beautiful. You brought tears to my eyes with how exact and
detailed everything is and just amazing!! Bill and I don't know what to say,
except what a memorable picture and great decision we made having you do
this for us. Thank you so, so much for this and recreating their innocence.
I can't wait to receive it. Email and let me know how much I owe. Oh, and I
emailed it to all my friends. Hope I can create some more business for you.
Thanks again, its beautiful!!!

Love,
Melinda
