I just came across an artist named Winston today .




It's clear to see that he's progressed over the years, improving his painting techniques- brush strokes, proportions, balance of color and negative space... Above all, I think this artist has gained confidence and it shows in his recent works. There's no hesitation on his part to literally brush colors ONTO his perfectly rendered figures. The colors patterns and rhythm make one think of Gustav Klimt, a masterful artist.

His works have inspired me to forge ahead with my figure drawings and start painting with the acrylics I have shelved about a year ago.

I have matted some drawings to be taken to Albuquerque with me this Wednesday. I'm hoping that they'd catch some shoppers' eyes. If not, no biggie... just have to try something new... like COLORS and interesting compositions---
in acrylics and oils...
