Hectic! ...and A Thousand Apologies...

It's been a while since I've posted. I apologize if I haven't the chance to fave or comment on your deviations, nor reply to your comments promptly. A thousand apologies....

To all who have kindly added me as a friend, featured or faved my work, or even looked at my stuff here, I am grateful.

Just for your info...

The last two weeks or so I've been...
-taking swimming lessons,
-swim training on my own,
-triathlon talks/ gear talks/ meets
-volunteered at my kids' schools,
-did a birthday bash for my kid one weekend (18 kids, mind you!)
-and also on the same day finished, framed and gave a gift drawing for a friend's birthday--
-not to mention, I'm attending another drawing class,
-add life figure drawing sessions to that,
-studying and reading books on anatomy (never ending!)
-people coming over to look at replacing a few doors at my house...
- hosting a small, casual American Idol party--- Phew!

Of course, cooking, laundry, cleaning, chauffer-ing my kids around

It's been hectic...

I'm not sure if things will slow down a little in March, but I promise I will post that particular drawing that I just gave away to a teary-eyed friend at her birthday bash. Her reaction made ME cry!

I'm welcoming the spring with lots of energy, zest and motivation! Also...my birthday's coming up...

Wish that birthdays crop up more than wrinkles do though...

I hope you all are having a wonderful March 2008!!!

Ok- gotta run-- my Anatomy of Movement class is in a few hours!

Dina- glad to hear all is well with you! I knew your absence meant you were busy (or crazy which either way you would like to classify yourself!) Why don't you add a little

to your program. I'm happy for you being able to take art classes!

Thanks Michelle! I've been feeling so bad not having the time to get online these past few weeks. You're right, I should get some r&r sometime.

The art class is great. It's exactly what I was looking for...

Hey Ruth! lol! I just came back from my art class and all is good. Tonight I'm giving myself a treat by watching American Idol. I love Simon Cowell's honesty and the singing of course....

The swimming is coming along great--thanks for asking! Yesterday I managed to do the freestyle from one end of the pool to the other! I'm so proud of myself-- had never been able to do that before...

As far as posting my drawing, through my hectic senile moments, the photos never turned out because I was rushing from one thing to the next. My friend agreed to let me borrow the gift so I could photograph it... So give me about a week or so...

Hi there, Dina! Wow, you do keep a pretty hectic schedule...I feel so bogged down by my job I hardly feel I have even time to draw, let alone go to an art class...I've never been to an art class, it almost seems intimidating! Your portraiture has come leaps and bounds, it is so impressive...you reminded me how much I want to master textures and capture realism on paper. It's so motivating and at the same time hindering when you see work so much more impressive than your own - that desire to improve, and that dread that you will never become "great"; not a fear you have to worry about, but maybe at one time it was upon you...? By the way, when is your birthday?
